OUR STORY

THE NJAB PROMISE

A NOTE FROM THE CEO

Hey dreamer,

I can’t believe it’s been 11 years since we decided to take a leap and make Not Just a Box Events happen. Despite the challenges — because of course, there were a lot, it’s been nothing short of magical. We became more than just planners and coordinators: we were first-hand witnesses of love stories unfolding, milestones as they happen, and simple moments becoming extraordinary.

Truly, it’s a whole lot of difference love makes.

Looking ahead, I can definitely say that the team and I are all buzzing with excitement! Our experiences, learnings, and ideas when combined together is something that I know will make you happy and inspired, for any momentous  event you have in mind.

Just like the vows that couples make, our commitment to you is enduring. And we understand that this industry has changed and will continue to change, but we’ll still be there. We’ll innovate and redefine what it means to be a wedding planner or event organizers, and make the magic happen for you.

Along with that commitment is our promise to make sure that no matter who is in the team assigned to you, you will still be confident that you’re given 100% the same quality of service and dedication. Our team is composed of dependable professionals who will personally see to it that your special day is exactly how it should be. That’s how it started 11 years ago, and that’s how it will still be for the next years to come.

Here’s to the wonderful 11 years and to the many, many more ahead! Thank you for being here, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

With lots of gratitude and excitement,

Aiza de Leon-Ingles

WEDDING PLANNER AT HEART

A NOTE FROM THE COO

Hi everyone,

Jerly here! I’m currently the COO of Not Just a Box Events but if you ask me, I’m still very much a Wedding Planner! This new role is definitely a challenge, but I’m not one to easily back down. And you know what, I love a good challenge!

I’ve had my fair share of it in my 11 years of working at NJAB. But along with it, were the amazing moments that came after. For me, these challenges just make the sweet and magical moments even more so. And so when our clients come to me about something that troubles them, I become even more hyped to help figure it out.

I can say with utmost certainty that being a wedding planner is more about creatively solving problems than creating Pinterest boards. Sounds tough, but I swear it’s still just as dreamy.

This company has been in the industry for 11 years now, and I know it will stay for even longer — evolving and innovating, making dreams inspirational just as it did since 2012.

For now, I’m glad to have you here and I’m looking forward to celebrating your moments with you!

Most sincerely,

Jerly Julao
COO, Not Just a Box Events

How the magic started

There are a hundred different things that make a moment special. Some are more visible than others, and then there are those that often go unnoticed. This is simply the way it is.

And we know this, because we’ve seen these moments happen. Well, we’ve made these moments happen. It didn’t start out easy as most things often do, but we never stopped believing: in ideas and dreams, in planning, in the unique, and the long and sometimes frustrating but always magical process of making it all happen.

For the past 10 years, we’ve done this and more, because we know you deserve the best that we can offer. And that’s exactly what we’ll provide, because we are Not Just a Box and we make dreams inspirational.

Our Core Values

01 PASSION TO DELIVER

02 INSPIRING INNOVATION

03 UNMATCHED HOSPITALITY

  • Finance Officer

My day usually starts when my dogs go berserk. LOL! After attending to my four Golden Retrievers, I'd prepare myself to go to work. Since I work part-time in the events industry, I always make myself updated with what's happening around me because working with NJAB is something I'm truly grateful about!

What makes me motivated is my drive to learn, explore, and experience new possibilities every day. I think it's also very important to know what you truly want while appreciating the core people around you and the little things that they do because that's what keeps us going. That's what keeps ME going!

  • Junior Sales and Marketing

I am Rexsten Estorque, a Junior Sales and Marketing personnel. My primary role is engaging with potential clients.

During my off hours, I enjoy indulging in mobile and computer gaming to pass the time. My favorite colors are yellow, which symbolizes my cheerful and jovial nature, and blue, representing my self-assuredness in my current endeavors.

Not Just A Box Events has been instrumental in my personal and professional growth, placing me in my most comfortable role within the company. My motivation stems from my insatiable appetite for marketing knowledge.

I constantly immerse myself in marketing articles, using Not Just A Box as my platform to market the business not only in Iloilo but across the entire Philippines. Additionally, my mind's creative frenzy late at night serves as a powerful driving force in my journey.

  • Junior Account Manager

Hello, I’m Krish and I’m a Junior Account Manager for Not Just a Box Events. My job involves helping couples plan and execute their dream weddings. I assist with everything from choosing venues and vendors to creating timelines, managing budgets, and ensuring that their special day runs smoothly. It's a role that combines creativity, organization, and a deep passion for making couples' wedding dreams come true.

I chose to become a wedding coordinator because I'm deeply passionate about love, celebrations, and creating unforgettable moments. I find immense joy in helping couples turn their dreams into a reality on one of the most important days of their lives.

It's incredibly rewarding to be a part of this journey, ensuring that every detail is perfect and that the couple's vision comes to life. Being a wedding coordinator allows me to combine my organizational skills with my love for love stories, and that's why I find this profession so fulfilling.

  • Office Assistant

Hi! I'm Barbielyn. You can call me Barbie/ Barb instead. I'm the Social Events Office Assistant in the company. I like doing things when it’s new for me. I am persistent in learning any kind of work and exploring new things, traveling, and making adventurous moments.

I am one of those idealistic types who love to create new things through craftmanship. Additionally, I am also interested in food, as well as watching exciting movies that are both enjoyable and enriches me with knowledge.

  • Event Coordinator

Hi, my name is Florel Zapanta but the Events industry calls me Poy. I’m an Events Specialist, and I’ve done countless of events like Pageants, Conventions, Brand Launches, Birthdays, Debuts, and especially Weddings.

For Events, I’m most often a Stage Manager. And for weddings, I usually take on the role of a Groom Assistant.

Outside of work, I’m a husband and a father of a one cute, jolly, and sometimes annoying baby girl: Ely.

My favorite color is green, because I like nature so you’d often see me wearing green things. My hobbies are playing with my daughter, cooking, playing mobile games, and working out.

Why Not just a Box Events? NJAB for me is family. Usually people I’ve met just come and go but, people who stay are considered family. Ma’am Aiza and Ma’am Jerly are not just "my bosses" but they're like elder sisters to me. I’m nearly on my 6th year now with NJAB and I can say that those years were wonderful and were full of passion and camaraderie.

What makes me motivated? First, my core reason is my family who are always there to support me. I would like to share this knowledge as well to my little girl and to my future kids. Secondly, I’d like to know more about this industry so that I’ll be able to share my knowledge to everyone who are interested in joining the industry.

Additionally, I would like to thank Not Just a Box Events, Ma’am Aiza, her husband Sir Johan, and Ma’am Jerly. Thank you for all the learnings and for the wonderful experience. Hoping for more years to come for NJAB!
